Recipe: Nestle Butterscotch Fudge (using orange extract and orange rind)

1 (7 1/2-oz. or 13 oz.) jar marshmallow cream
1 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 cups) Nestle butterscotch flavored morsels
1 teaspoon orange extract
1 teaspoon grated orange rind
1 cup walnuts, chopped and divided use
Foil line an 8-inch square pan. Spread 1/2 cup Diamond Walnuts evenly on bottom of pan; set aside.
In large saucepan, combine marshmallow cream, sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt bring to full boil over moderate heat, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes , stirring constantly, over moderate heat. Remove from heat.
Add butterscotch morsels; stir until morsels melt and mixture is well blended. Stir in orange extract and orange rind. Pour into prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup walnuts on top.
Chill in refrigerator until firm (about 2 hours).
Makes: about 2 1/3 lbs. candy
