Recipe(tried): A couple ideas . . .

Hot chicken, turkey or beef sandwiches . . .
1 pkt. of "instant" gravy
deli meat slices
instant mashed potatoes
bread
Prepare gravy, heat meat in it. Prepare potatoes.
Assemble sandwich.

SweetNSour Chicken and Veg
leftover fried chicken or packaged chicken chunks

salad bar veg: onion, bell peppers, pineapple slices, water chestnuts, celery; as desired

SweetNSour sauce packets (leftover from takeout or brought home from cafeteria)

Prepared instant rice

Steam veggies in a covered bowl in micro until crisp-tender. Add chicken, sauce and heat until hot. Pour over rice.

When we travel, I take along a little 2cup "hotpot", in which I prepare Noodles & Sauce, and Rice & Sauce, etc. I add meat and/or veg as desired; usually deli meat or packaged chunks.

and get a huge bag of soup for only $3 shipping. The soups work better in a hotpot, but with care can be made in the micro. Good soup, too!

We like an instant tabouli that you can find in boxes, or the bulk food bins at the grocery. Good alone, but even better with fresh chopped tomato, parsley and onion. Serve with hummus and pita for a full meal deal.

You can make passable hot & sour soup with a little chicken broth & a packet of gyoza sauce (2 part packet of soy vinegar and chili oil). Add any or all of these: egg (raw or leftover scrambled), celery, bamboo shoots,mushroom, chicken . . . whatever you wish! (from salad bar, etc)
