Recipe: And Yet Another

Misc.

Here's another, slightly different recipe. From a Mennonite cookbook.
It makes 3 pies.
My Mother's Montgomery Pie

TOP:
2 Eggs
1 3/4 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Crisco (lard)
1 cup Milk
2 1/2 cups Flour
2 teaspoons Baking Powder

BOTTOM:
Juice of 2 Lemons
1 cup Molasses
1 cup Sugar
2 Tablespoons Flour
1 pint Boiling Water

Beat eggs and sugar well. Add Crisco. Beat in milk and flour with baking powder mixed in. Mix all BOTTOM ingredients together. Spoon into pie shells. Put TOP ingredients in. Makes 3 pies. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
