Recipe: Montgomery Pie

Montgomery Pie

Bottom Part
1 egg
1 lemon
1 cup sugar
3 tblsp. flour
1 cup white syrup
1 pt. water
Boil together and cool. Divide into 3 unbaked pie shells.

Top part:
2 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup milk
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder

Mix top part as cake batter then pour on top of syrup in pie shells. Bake in hot oven (450 degrees) for about 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake till done.
