APPLE ANNIE'S PEACH GRATIN
6 to 8 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted and halved
3 tablespoons butter, divided use
6 tablespoons sugar, divided use
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons almonds, chopped
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Butter a 10-inch pie plate with 2 tablespoons butter. Sprinkle plate with 2 tablespoons sugar. Place peaches, cut side down, in the plate.
In a medium bowl, mix egg, milk flour and salt. Pour batter over peaches.
Mix together remaining 4 tablespoons sugar and almonds and sprinkle mixture over batter. Dot with remaining 1 tablespoon of butter.
Bake 15 minutes and serve warm.
