Recipe: Bacon Cheese Puffs and Deviled Ham Puffs (spreads baked on crackers)

BACON CHEESE PUFFS

2 pkg. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. instant minced onion
1 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 tbsp. imitation bacon pieces
40 Ritz crackers

Combine cream cheese, egg yolk and onion in a large bowl. Blend until smooth. Stir in baking powder and bacon pieces and stir to blend well. The mixture may be covered and is ready to use when you are ready at this point.

TO BAKE:
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

Mound 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture on each cracker. Place in a single layer on an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake 9 minutes or until cheese is puffed and lightly brown on top.


DEVILED HAM PUFFS

Ritz crackers
Deviled ham
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 tsp. grated onion
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg yolk
Salt and pepper to taste

Spread deviled ham on Ritz crackers.

Mix remaining ingredients together until smooth and place 1 teaspoon of mixture on crackers. Place in a single layer on an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake in a preheated 375 degree F oven for 10 minutes. Serve warm.
