Recipe(tried): Bacon Date Things
Misc.A number of years ago my mother and I frequented a wonderful French restaurant
in Santa Barbara. We were served this appetizers and couldn't believe how
addicting they are. I have served them many times with raves. I took them
to a Christmas party one year and a friend of ours dubbed them "Bacon Date
Things". The name just stuck. Hope you like them.
BACON DATE THINGS
Pitted dates
Bacon
Toothpicks
Cut bacon into thirds, wrap a piece of bacon around a date and secure with
a toothpick. Place on a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in a preheated
oven (450 degrees) and cook until crispy. Will need to turn at least once.
Drain onto paper towels. These can be made the day ahead and refrigerated.
I then take out and leave at room temperature and place in a serving bowl.
I promise. There won't be any left.
Enjoy
Debbie
