Recipe(tried): Banana Cookies with Icing - Not the same but very good

Banana Cookies

1 1/2 cups butter, softened
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups mashed bananas
1 tsp. lemon juice
4 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
ICING:
6 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons milk
4 tablespoons butter
1 lb. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cream butter and brown sugar together. Add eggs, bananas, and lemon juice. Mix well.

Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to first mixture, then add vanilla. Drop on cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes. Cool before icing.

Makes 6 1/2 dozen

TO PREPARE THE ICING:
Bring to full rolling boil, the 6 tablespoons brown sugar, milk, and 4 tablespoons butter. Remove from heat and beat in powdered sugar, then add vanilla. Enjoy!
