Recipe(tried): Beef Macaroni and Cheese Casserole

Main Dishes - Casseroles
This is always a winner - nice & hearty for cool weather too!

Beef Macaroni and Cheese Casserole

1 lb. ground beef
2 cups shredded cheddar
1 pkg. onion soup mix
8 oz. twist pasta (or any kind you have on hand)
1 (15-16 oz.) can tomato sauce

While cooking pasta, brown ground beef in oversized skillet. After draining beef, add the tomato sauce and onion soup mix and simmer until heated through. Add 1 cup of the cheese to meat mixture, stir until melted and mixed in well.

In a casserole dish, combine the beef mixture with the cooked pasta. Top with second cup of cheese and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. I usually do half covered and other half uncovered.

This is great served w/ just bread.
