Recipe: Frozen Cabbage Slaw - question

Salads - Assorted
I have a recipe for freezer slaw, given to me years ago by a friend. I've never made it, but cabbage was on sale for 10 cents a pound this week and I bought two heads and was thinking of using the recipe.

Has anyone made this, and if so was it good once it is thawed in the fridge? Does it remain crisp and crunchy or is it soft and limp?

FROZEN CABBAGE SLAW

Mix together:
1 medium head of cabbage, shredded
4 green bell peppers, diced fine
2 large carrots, shredded
Add:
4 tsp. salt

Let stand 1 hour, then drain off water.

In a saucepan, combine:
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. celery seed
2 Tbsp. mustard seed

Bring these to a boil and boil for one minute. Let cool.

Add the vinegar mixture to the cabbage mixture. Put in plastic containers and freeze.

Before serving put in fridge overnight.
