Recipe(tried): Beef Stroganoff

Good morning! For dinner tonight we will have this dish with buttered parsley noodles,corn, a combination salad & applesauce jello. Have a good day!

Beef Stroganoff
Serves 4-6

1 medium onion,cut in half horizontally & sliced thinly
6 Tbls. butter
1 (16 oz.)can mushrooms
1 cup beef broth
2 Tbls. lemon juice
1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 lb.cubed steak, cut into 1 inch pieces

Lightly brown onions in 1/3 of the butter, remove from the skillet & set aside. Saute mushrooms 5 minutes in 1/3 of the butter, remove from skillet & set aside. Brown lightly floured meat in remaining 1/3 of butter.

Add cooked mushrooms & onions to meat in skillet along with lemon juice & broth & season to taste with salt & pepper.

Simmer mixture 15 minutes & remove from heat. Fold in sour cream & serve over noodles, rice or mashed potatoes.
