Recipe: Bing Cherry Ice Cream

1 1/2 c fresh cherries with pits removed 3 c cream
1 c half and half 1 c sugar 1 egg 1/4 c water 1 tsp vanilla
in double boiler, simmer cherries, water and 1/2 c sugar for 10 min. use a mixer to blend the mixture at a low speed for 30 seconds. set aside in a bowl to cool.
in blender on low speed, mix egg, half and half, 1/2 c sugar vanilla and the cherry mixture for 30 seconds. add the cream and blend for 30 more seconds. pour into ice cream machine and follow manufacturer's dirctions for freezing.
