BUTTERMILK CHESS PIE

1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup Butter, softened
5 eggs
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
2/3 cup buttermilk
1 unbaked (9 inch) pastry shell

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cream sugar and butter together, beating at medium speed of mixer until light and fluffy.

Add eggs, flour, vanilla, and salt; beat well. Stir in buttermilk. Pour into pastry shell.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 to 59 minutes or until set. Cool on wire rack.
