Hi Nancy..i have used this recipe for so many occasions..think you might like it too. You can make as many as you need and is very easy to make. I WOULD BET EVERYONE THERE WOULD LOVE CHOCOLATE. HERE GOES;
1 cup water
1 cup margarine or butter
1/4 cup cocoa
2 cups flour ..I USE ALL PURPOSE
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
Blend water, margarine and cocoa. Heat to boil, blend in next 4 ingredients. Stir in eggs one at a time. Add buttermilk and mix well. POour into greased sheet cake pan. Bake at 400 degres for 20 minutes. Spread frosting on while warm.
FROSTING RECIPE AS FOLLOWS;
1/3 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup cocoa
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 cup toasted pecans..chopped
Heat milk and margarine to boil. In seperate bowl put your cocoa and powdered sugar..pour your milk and marg. over powdered sugar and cocoa..beat until creamy. Stir in pecans..YUMMY
YOU CAN SERVE THIS WITH ICE CREAM IF YOU WISH OR JUST GOOD BY ITS SELF.
I make this cake in large boiler before putting into prepared baking pans. HOPE THIS RECIPE CAN HELP YOU OUT. BETTY
