BUTTERSCOTCH TORTE
6 egg yolks
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup nuts
6 egg whites
Sauce (recipe follows)
1 envelope Dream Whip whipped topping mix
Beat egg whites until stiff and set aside.
Beat egg yolks and add sugar gradually. Add baking powder, vanilla, graham cracker crumbs and nuts. Fold into stiffly beaten egg whites and pour into 9x13 pan.
Bake at 325 degrees F for 25-35 minutes. Set cake in pan on rack to cool.
Mix one package Dream Whip according to package directions. Spread over cake and then pour sauce over the Dream Whip.
SAUCE

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
Mix together and cook over low heat until thick. Cool.
