Recipe: Caramel Apple Butter (crock pot)

Misc.
Carmel Apple Butter

Puree 3 lb. of cooked apples. Place 7 cups into a crockpot with about 2 cups sugar, or to taste. Cook down to a butter consitency, about 3-4 hours. Stir in 1/4 tsp. ginger powder, 1/2 tsp. powdered cloves, 1 tsp. cinnamon, and 21 carmels. Heat to 165 degrees on the stove if not hot enough. Put into hot pint jars, process in water bath for 10 minutes. Of course, you can cook entirely on the stove instead of a crockpot, but this is how it was written.
