Recipe: Caramel Salted Nut Bars (using graham cracker crumbs)

CARAMEL SALTED NUT BARS

1 cup graham cracker crumbs
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 cups miniature marshmallows
32 caramels, unwrapped
3 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup salted peanuts, coarsely chopped

Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

In medium bowl stir together crumbs, sugar and butter. Press on bottom of 9-inch square baking pan.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Sprinkle marshmallows over crust; set aside.

In 1 quart saucepan melt caramels and milk over low heat, stirring occasionally, until melted (9-12 minutes).

Drizzle caramel mixture over marshmallows; sprinkle with peanuts. Refrigerate until firm.

Makes 25 bars
