Recipe(tried): Carrabba's White Sangria - Answer to Simple Syrup Question

Beverages
For those who cannot find Monin's White Sangria syrup (easily ordered on-line and shipped from Clearwater, FL) and want to make a similar tasting syrup at home, just use equal parts white granulated sugar and water; to the saucepan add several sticks of cinnamon. Bring mixture to a boil (give a stir or two to completely dissolve). Let cool completely, pour into a glass jar with lid and keep in the refrigerator.

I do not remove the cinnamon sticks from the syrup, but rather leave them in the syrup until it is all used up.

BY THE GLASS RECIPE: fill a good-size wine glass or water goblet with ice. Add one tablespoon brandy, two tablespoons syrup, fill glass with pinot grigio. Stir and garnish with fruit.
Enjoy.

Sadly, Carrabba's does not serve White Sangria any longer, but I can always make it at home.
