We always have this at holiday gatherings. It's delicious and can be reheated in the microwave.........AND it will use up 4 cups of your celery!
Celery Casserole
4 cups celery, sliced
1 can (5-oz.) water chestnuts, sliced
1 can (10- 3/4 oz.) cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
1/4 cup toasted sliced almonds
2 Tbs. butter, melted
Cook celery in water and a little butter until transparent; drain. Mix melted butter and bread crumbs; set aside. Mix celery and remaining ingredients together. Pour into 1-3/4 qt. casserole dish that has been sprayed with vegetable oil. Top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
