Appetizers and Snacks
CHERYL'S BEST EVER SWEET APPETIZERS

1 cup sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
8 white bread slices (or more, as needed)
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 egg yolk
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 lb unsalted butter, melted
1 pint sour cream (for serving)

Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside. Remove crust and roll bread thin. Set aside.

Blend together cream cheese, egg yolk, sugar and vanilla. Spread mixture on each bread slice and roll each into a log. Dip the logs into the melted butter and roll in cinnamon/sugar mixture. Cut each log into 3 pieces and place on a cookie sheet. At this point you can freeze the logs.

When you want to serve them, thaw for 10 minutes before baking.

Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 5-10 minutes.

Serve with sour cream for dipping.

Makes 24 servings
