This recipe comes from an old paperback Campbell's Cookbook. I make my chili like this all the time. I usually add a pinch of sugar to this recipe, as I do in most tomato based recipes.
Chili Con Campbell's
1 lb. ground beef
1 C. chopped onion
2 med. garlic cloves, minced
2 cans (15 1/2 oz) kidney beans, undrained
1 can (10 3/4 oz) Campbell's Tomato Soup
1/2 can water
1 to 2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
In heavy saucepan, brown beef, cook onion and garlic. pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients. Cover; simmer 30 minutes.
Makes 4 servings.
