Recipe: Cinnamon Roll (Bisquick, 1957)

CINNAMON ROLL

1 egg, beaten
3 cups Bisquick
34 cup milk
2 tbsp. softened butter
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Heat oven to 400 degrees F.

Mix egg, Bisquick, milk. Roll dough around on board lightly dusted with Bisquick. Knead gently 10 times to smooth up.

Roll into 10x8-inch oblong. Spread with butter. Sprinkle with sugar- cinnamon mixture. Roll, beginning at wide side; seal. Place sealed side down on ungreased baking sheet. Make cuts with scissors almost through at intervals of 1-inch.

Bake about 20 minutes. While warm, glaze top with mixture of 3 cup confectioners' sugar, 2 tbsp, warm water.

Makes 10 to 12 slices
