Querida Gladys,

How wonderful for your guests to get a tour of the island and then taken to a grand restaurant to enjoy a Cuban meal!  Wish I had been there!  You are such a gracious lady and I am sure that they enjoyed their visit with you immensely.

My Mom has been spending some days with me and I told her that you were still entertaining and cooking up a storm and she remembered you very fondly, she was telling me how beautiful you are inside and out and how your sweetness reveals itself in all that you do.  She still remembers that glorious visit to Puerto Rico and you!

She told me to tell you that if shae visits PR again she will call on you to see you and hopes you arae doing better healthwise.

We have been delighting in the many Monarch butterflies that come to my garden to lay eggs...what a miracle the metamorphosis from larvae to butterfly is.  At one point last week, we had 22 crysalis.  They have all hatched and flown away.  The Milkweed has to grow back again before I can get eggs again.  So, in the meantime I have plenty of butterfly bushes to please them.

Today I am making a Chicken Pot Pie (click here)...comfort food!
It has been raining just about every day making it for miserable weather indeed!  So the Pot Pie will make me happy...I love the prep work!
