Recipe(tried): Cream of Whatever Soup

Here is a reciipe for a base for cream soups

Cream of Whatever Soup

1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter
1/3 cup onion minced
1/2 cup celery minced
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk or half and half
1 cup chicken broth

Melt butter, saute onions and celery until tender. and flour and stir til smooth Add milk andd broth. Heat until almost boiling.

Cheese soup
add 8 oz cheeze whiz

Potato soup
add cooked potatoes and 1 Tbsp. celery seed

Brocolli soup
add a cup or two of well cooked broccoli.

You can add whatever you want. You may need to use a blender before serving it to your mom. Good luck.
