Recipe(tried): Creamy Old Fashioned Rice Pudding

Desserts - Puddings, Gelatin
Here is my most favorite recipe, Joy. Everytime I make it, the recipe must come with me. It's delicious and easy to make. The recipe came from my dad.

Creamy old fashioned rice pudding:

2 quarts of whole milk( low fat doesn't work in this one :))
1 cup of long grain rice..i.e Carolina rice
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp. of vanilla
1 cup of raisins (or to taste)
2 eggs, at room temp
cinnamon

Place milk, rice and sugar in a large pot. Bring to a boil, turn heat down to simmer. Let simmer till rice is completely cooked (about 20 to 25 minutes) test to make sure. Beat the eggs. Take a little milk, rice and sugar mixture from pot and add to beaten eggs (this prevents curdling) put eggs in pot and add vanilla and raisins. Let cook til thickens. If pudding gets too thick, just add more milk. Put in a nice serving bowl and sprinkle cinnamon over top.

Enjoy!!! Donna Pa.
