Recipe: Meatballs And Spaghetti Sauce

I am fairly new to TKL and am enjoying it and you all so much. Somehow feel like we are all friends...thank you! I thought it would be interesting if you might share your most favorite/most requested recipes. Here is one of mine:

MEATBALLS & SPAGHETTI SAUCE

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

3 6 oz cans tomato paste
9 cans water
1 # 2 can whole tomatoes
1 medium onion -- chopped
4 cloves garlic cloves -- chopped fine
1 teaspoon dried mint flakes
1 teaspoon parsley
1 teaspoon basil leaves
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon rosemary
3 bay leaves
1/3 cup sugar
1 7 ounce can mushroom
2 teaspoons hot sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper

MEATBALLS

1 1/2 LBS ground sirloin
1 medium onion -- chopped fine
4 tablespoons bell pepper -- chopped fine
2 eggs -- beaten
1 cup bread crumbs
3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
3 garlic cloves -- pressed
salt
Sauce:
Combine all ingredients in saucepan and simmer for 3 hours, adding more water if necessary.
Meatballs:
Combine ingredients and form into balls. Brown in oven or frying pan. Add to sauce and cook together for another 2 hours. Pour over pasta.

Serving Ideas : serve with tossed salad and crusty bread

You can cut back on the sugar a little if you like
I always get lots of requests for this and the sauce & meatballs get better after a day or so in the refrigerator.
