Dear Teriwinkle,
I was laughing as I read your post requesting my recipe...it's not spaghetti noodles that are used but rather, egg noodles to sop up the delicious gravy the recipe makes! Of course, you don't have to make the noodles. I was just suggesting 2 different types of menus....anyway, here is the recipe for the crockpot beef stew. Remember, add the potatoes and carrots before you leave for the show. They should be nice and tender by the time you all come back.
Hey, be sure to post that yummy sounding fruit cobbler too!
Teriwinkle's After The Show Menu:
Crock Pot Beef Stew
Egg Noodles (maybe!)
Garlic Bread
Salad
GMA Fruit Cobbler
Coffee
Have a great time at the show!! Gina
CROCKPOT BEEF STEW
1 small can tomato sauce
1 can Beef Broth (14.5 oz)
1/4 cup red wine
1 cup water
1 pkg. McCormick Beef stew seasoning (1.5 oz)
1 Tbsp beef boullion
1 Tbsp Montreal Steak seasoning
1 1/2 lbs. lean stew meat
2 baking potatoes, washed, peeled and cubed large chunks
4 fresh carrots, washed, peeled and sliced thick
1 small can of green peas, drained
Dredge the stew meat with the contents of the McCormick Beef Stew seasoning. Combine all other ingredints into the crockpot except peas, potatoes and carrots. Cook on low for 8-10 hours. Add the potatoes and carrots before you leave for the show.
Add the can of drained peas to the crockpot when you return from the show. Then start making your salad and heating the bread in thae oven. If you want to serve the stew alongside the noodles (wide egg noodles), follow the directions on the bag. Have a glass of wine while you are preparing all this and have fun!
