Recipe: Debra's Garbage Dip (creamy)

Appetizers and Snacks
Could not find Don Pablo's but this sounded good.

DEBRA'S GARBAGE DIP

1 lb. hamburger (optional)
1 cup chopped onion*
1/2 cup chopped green or red bell peppers*
1 (8 oz) cream cheese
1 (8 oz) jar cheese whiz
1 small can shopped green chilies, drained
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. Mexican seasoning
dash of red pepper
salt & pepper to taste

Brown meat with onion and bell pepper.

Soften cream cheese and cheese whiz in microwave (about 1 minute each.)

In a saucepan combine the cheeses with the beef mixture, green chilies, and remaining ingredients. Simmer for 30 minutes or refrigerate and 30 minutes before serving heat in oven at 350 for 30 minutes.

*If desired, chop the onion and bell pepper in a blender or food processor.

For dipping use a solid chip like tortilla strips.
