Recipe: Double Bean Dip (Lipton Onion Soup Mix recipe, 1987)
Appetizers and SnacksDOUBLE BEAN DIP
1 envelope Lipton Golden Onion Recipe Soup Mix
1 (16 oz.) can chick peas or garbanzos, rinsed and drained
1 (16 oz.) can white kidney or cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup olive or vegetable oil
1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 small clove garlic, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Suggested Dippers*
In food processor or mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except Suggested Dippers until almost smooth. Chill at least 2 hours.
Serve with Suggested Dippers.
*Suggested Dippers: Use pita bread cut into triangles, bread sticks, snow peas, carrot sticks or assorted crackers.
Makes about 3 cups dip
