Recipe(tried): Enchilada Sauce

Toppings - Sauces and Gravies
ENCHILADA SAUCE

4 tsp. vegetable oil
1 to 2 tsp flour
1 tsp. chili powder
1 can tomato sauce
about 1/2 cup water
salt and ground pepper (to taste)

In a pan add vegetable oil; heat up oil. Add flour and stir to dissolve quickly so it won't lump up (or turn off the burner ). If you see its too little flour or oil, add a 1/2 tsp of either, as needed. It has to be completely dissolved and liquidy. Then you add the chili powder. Add tomato sauce then add water. Sprinkle some ground pepper. Some salt as well. Let it boil, sauce will thicken. Continue to cook, depending how thick you want it, then turn off the burner. Set.
