Recipe(tried): Favorte Frosting and Grandma Agnes' Jello Icing (cooked frosting with milk, flour, and butter/shortening)
Desserts - Fillings, FrostingsDerek, still can't find mine, but here are two others that are similar. I called my sister-in-law and she couldn't remember the exact measurements either, but here are two I found in my file. The first one is from Taste of Home magazine. The second one comes from my Grandmother's files, I don't remember her ever making it, I found the recipe after she passed on and have made it several times for my DH who loves cherry flavor. I don't think you have to use a double boiler for it, you can probably employ the same method as the other two recipes. By the way all these recipes use granulated, not powdered sugar, I'm not sure if I mentioned that in my previous post.
