Recipe: Frankfurter Circles (using English muffins, Hellmann's ad, 1970's)

FRANKFURTER CIRCLES

"Why settle for frankfurters the same old way? Serve them on an English muffin instead of a bun."

1/2 cup Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise
1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3 English muffins
6 frankfurters
Pickle relish (optional)

Stir together mayonnaise. cheese, mustard and Worcestershire sauce.

Split English muffins by scoring with tines of fork and then gently pulling apart. Toast; spread with mayonnaise mixture.

Slash frankfurters part way through at 1/4-inch Intervals. Curl each into circle on top of each muffin half. Fill centers with pickle relish, if desired.

Broil 6-inches from source or heat about 5 minutes or until mayonnaise mixture Is bubbly and browned.

Makes 6 servings
