Recipe(tried): Freeze Ahead Party Sandwiches and Birthday Party Ideas for 2 Year Old

Holidays, Celebrations
I like cookie cutter sandwiches -- also triangle ones on plates

Without mayo you can freeze ahead in double saran wrap (I buy the 2000 foot or whatever size rolls at club stores). Put margarine or butter thinly on both side of the bread -- place wrap a on cookie tin place on as many sandwiches single layer as you can then wrap over the saran wrap you can do another layer and freeze take out to thaw in plastic about 3-4 hours.

Use tiered plates borrowed from friends to serve -- tiers are nice for sandwiches. PB&J is great!

No one expects gourmet at a 2 yr old party -- Presentation is key for impression -- flower, duck, animal cookie cutters are cute and you can save the part that you cut off and make bread pudding -- throw in the freezer for later use in puddings or casseroles.

ENJOY the day -- and remember Birthday girl will be excited get her plenty of sleep before hand and don't put too many expectations on her for the party. She might be overwhelmed and need YOU that is why make ahead and sandwiches are a great idea!

Don't build the party too much in her head before hand -- keep the Oh look Elly, grandma's here ... oh Look Elly, you get a present ... give Aunt Suzy a big kiss type stuff down to a minimum :-) Make it seem like this is normal and no big deal -- she'll know in her heart how special it is -- everyone else will be doing that.

Watch the video person and keep your temper -- & disappointments in check -- I spoiled a party video (in my mind) with a harsh comment to hubby -- caught on tape! urgh -- posterity.

If you have any kiddie pools (or other water sources)none recommended, around for festivities be sure to post a guard at them that will be vigilant -- you don't want to spoil the day with an accident!!
