I've always been told not to wash them. I let them get to room tempt. and put them in zip lock bags and freeze them. When I get ready to use the blueberries, I measure them out and dump them in cold water. If there is any debris it will float to the top and is easily removed. Blueberries is the only berry I treat this way, blackberries and strawberrie, I wash, drain, freeze spread out on a pan. Once they are individually frozen I put them in a zip lock bag. I do not unthaw my blueberries fully to use them.
