Recipe(tried): Fried Cabbage with Soy Sauce

FRIED CABBAGE WITH SOY SAUCE

about 1/2 lb bacon
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, chopped (or to taste)
1 head cabbage, cored and chopped
soy sauce
salt and pepper

Fry bacon and remove from pan. Crumble and set aside.

Saute onion in pan with bacon dripping.

When onion has given off a bit of liquid, add garlic. Then add chopped cabbage and soy sauce. Let wilt. Cabbage should be cooked but with a bit of crunch left.

Season with salt and pepper AFTER the cabbage has cooked, but before you are quite ready to serve. Soy sauce and bacon both have salt in them, so be careful not to over salt.

TO SERVE:
Place in bowl or on large plate and sprinkle crumbled bacon over all.
