Recipe(tried): Grama Lingley's Sweetcorn Freezing Recipe

Preserving - Other
This is an excellent recipe for freezing sweet corn that my mom used to freeze sweet corn for the last 20 or so years, When you get it out of the freezer it tasted like fresh corn right out of the field.

4 quarts corn cut off the cob
1 quart of water
Scant cup of sugar (Depends on sugar content of the corn)
3 teaspoons of salt

Shuck and wash corn then cut it of the cob being sure to scrape cob after cutting of the kernels (this gets the hearts of the kernels).

Combine cut off corn, water, sugar, and salt. Cook over medium heat until it reaches a boil. After it reaches a boil simmer for 10 minutes.

Place pan in cold sink of water to cool.

Put in freezer containers of your choice and size. Then freeze. When removing from freezer add butter and heat up. Enjoy!
