Recipe: Grape-Nuts Meatloaf with Maple Glaze

Main Dishes - Beef and Other Meats
Hi Mac,

This looks like it might be it!

Grape-Nuts Meatloaf with Maple Glaze

1 1/2 lbs Ground beef
8 oz Grape-Nuts Cereal
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste

Glaze:
1/2 cup light pancake syrup
1/2 cup catsup
1 tablespoon mustard

Mix together beef, Grape-Nuts, onion, egg, salt and pepper.

Combine syrup, catsup, and mustard. Mix half of the catsup mixture into the meatloaf. Reserve the other half for glaze.

Form into a loaf and place in 9x13 pan lined with foil. Poke holes in meatloaf with fork. Pour reserved glaze over meatloaf.

Bake uncovered at 350 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until very brown on edges. Let stand 20-30 minutes before serving.

Happy Cooking,

Betsy
