Recipe(tried): Ground Beef Fricassee

Main Dishes - Beef and Other Meats
Ground Beef Fricassee

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 cup shredded carrot
1 cup celery, minced
1/2 cup onion, minced
3 Tbsp. green bell pepper, minced
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups hot water
1 beef bouillon cube
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. onion salt
1/4 tsp. garlic salt

Cook ground beef in skillet, using a Tbsp. oil if necessary.

Add carrot, celery, onion, and bell pepper; cook until onion is soft and transparent.

Blend in flour, then stir in hot water in which bouillon cube has been dissolved. Cook and stir until slightly thickened.

Add remaining ingredients. Cover skillet and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes, or until flavors are blended.

Serve over mashed potatoes or fluffy rice.
