Recipe: Hans' Favorite Muesli
Breakfast and BrunchHANS' FAVORITE MUESLI
FOR THE MUESLI:
2 cups milk, at room temperature
2 cups rolled oats
2 cups grated Granny Smith apples (about 4 medium apples), sprinkled with the juice of a half lemon
1/4 cup shelled sunflower seeds
1/4 cup coarsely chopped hazelnuts
1/4 cup raisins
Scant 1/4 cup honey
Tiny pinch of salt
TO SERVE:
Fresh berries, for garnish
Whipped cream, for garnish
Combine all ingredients for the muesli in a very large bowl and toss until evenly moistened. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Serve with the berries and whipped cream.
Makes 1 1/2 quarts
