Recipe(tried): HELP with Outback Honey Wheat bread

Hello all! I have found the recipe many places on the web for Outback Steakhouses (Bushman) Honey Wheat bread. (here is a link to it if you don't know where it is: http://www.topsecretrecipes.com/recipes/bushman.htm). I had a few questions I was hoping someone could please answer for me. First off, I first did the recipe with 1 and 1/2 cups of water and found that my breadmake made "soup" instead of dough...is it supposed to 1/2 cup of water or is it really 1 and 1/2 cups???? I tried with 3/4 cup and it made decent looking dough. However, the bread turned out nothing like outback's sweet bread. I used whole wheat flour (is this right...it calls for "wheat" flour). The bread had a very grainy taste which i suspect came from the whole wheat flour. If anyone could help me out I would be most appreciative. Please just email me if you have any suggestions.
