Recipe: Homemade Italian Seasoning (1970's)
Herbs and SpicesHOMEMADE ITALIAN SEASONING
"Use for all Italian-style dishes. Try sprinkling this seasoning on veal or pork before cooking."
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons dried basil
1/2 teaspoon ground sage
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/2 teaspoon dried savory
2 teaspoons dried grated lemon rind
Mix together all ingredients.
If you are adding this to a liquid mixture that will be cooked, mix the ingredients with an equal amount of minced dried onions.
Makes about 1/2 ounce
