Thanks so much for all the helpful advice and recipes. I will be sure to try them all! This is a wonderful site and I am glad I found it.

Please let me return the favor and share a pasta/spaghetti sauce recipe I can every year.

I use it on pizza as well.

Homemade Pasta Sauce

25 pounds of tomatoes
1 cup of onions chopped
5 cloves of garlice
1 cup of green pepper chopped
1 lb. of mushrooms sliced(optional)
4 tsp salt
2 tbsp oregano
4 tbsp parley
2 tsp pepper
3/4 brown sugar
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp crushed red pepper
6 12 oz cans of tomato paste

Wash and skin tomatoes. Cook until soft. Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil. Simmer uncovered, until thick enough for serving.

Put in jars, leavingin 1 inch head space. Process pints for 35 minutes at 10 pounds presure.

Thanks again!
