Recipe(tried): Homemade Vanilla

If you take a vanilla bean or two and put it in a bottle of volka (I was told to crush the bean I do not) I also use "vanilla" flavored volka. Let it sit for 6 months (I let mine sit for a year and it was great) I also added a cheap carmel color I got at the dollar store; since everyone was trying to drink my volka vanilla! The carmel color will discourage this. Also to soaked beans are great to use in cooking or ice cream. (a recipe created by rdolton, tx) Have fun!
