I, too, have a front load washer. I add vinegar to my laundry all the time (I've got 4 boys...and smelly laundry! LOL) I just put the vinegar into the cup for fabric softener. I put it in when I put in the detergent. Then, I just turn it on and let it run thru the cycle. I notice it makes a HUGE difference in my laundry.
