Recipe(tried): How to make a better tasting black or red icing

The way I make red or black for my cake business is to use powdered food coloring in a ddition to the paste food coloring. The powdered makes a richer color without adding the bitter taste. You can purchase the powdered food coloring at most cake, cookie, or candy making supply stores. You can also do a search and find it online. With express shipping you could get it in plenty of time for Halloween!
