Recipe: Hummus (using toasted sesame seeds, food processor)

Appetizers and Snacks
HUMMUS

1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup sesame seeds, toasted
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons olive oil
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

Drain the chick peas, reserving 1/2 cup of the liquid.

Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor, except the reserved liquid. Process until smooth, adding the reserved liquid if needed to thin the mixture.

Refrigerate for several hours before serving to allow the flavors to blend.

Makes 6 servings
