Recipe(tried): Husband's B-Day Dinner: Boston Cream Pie with Bananas
Menus Hi!For Saturday's dinner we had a small party for my husband.Included all his faves. Not really any new recipes. If anyone needs these I can post again.Hope everyone has a great day.
Bar-b-que Chicken:
Cut into quarters & parboil several chickens.Put onto the grill & slather every time you turn the chicken with K.C.Masterpiece sauce.(I also threw some mequite chips on to lightly smoke the chicken.)
Bratwurst:Charcoaled on grill
Gina's Classic Potato Salad
Justin Wilson's Macaroni Salad, which I had posted before.
Old Settlers Baked Beans, which I had posted before
Corn on the cob
Boston Cream Pie:
1- nine inch layer of Duncan Hines yellow cake split in half horizontally.Mix a small box vanilla instant pudding with milk, let firm in fridge. Spread 1/2 the pudding on bottom half of split cake layer.Slice 1 large banana over pudding. Then spread the remaining pudding over sliced bananas.Add the top sliced 1/2 of cake over second layer of pudding.Sift powdered sugar over the top of cake & refigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
Hint:Bananas are best if slightly green. Also make sure bananas are completely covered in pudding layers so air wont hit them & turn them black.
