Recipe: Ice Cream Sodas (using homemade chocolate or coffee syrup)
BeveragesICE CREAM SODAS
1 cup Karo Light Corn Syrup
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
In small bowl. Combine corn syrup and cocoa; stir until blended. Stir in vanilla. Store covered in refrigerator.
Makes 1 1/4 cups syrup
COFFEE SYRUP
2 Tablespoons instant coffee powder
1 Tablespoon warm water
1 cup Karo Light Corn Syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
In small bowl combine coffee powder and water; stir until coffee dissolves. Stir in corn syrup and vanilla. Store covered in refrigerator.
Makes 1 cup syrup.
TO MAKE ICE CREAM SODA:
In tall glass stir 1/4 cup milk and 3 Tablespoons Chocolate or Coffee Syrup until well blended. Add 2 scoops ice cream. Fill with chilled club soda or seltzer.
