Recipe: Jiffy Mix Sugar Cookies (like Walmarts)

JIFFY MIX SUGAR COOKIES (LIKE WALMARTS)

From the source: "I Used to work for Walmarts bakery, and since they are owned by the same - I would imagine the cookies are the same. I know alot of their bakery recipes are the same. Their secret - Jiffy baking mix! If you look on the back of Jiffy baking mix - there is a recipe for sugar cookies - thats the one. I have made them at home and they are very soft and wonderful!! Be sure that when you bake the cookies, you're keeping a close eye on them - take them out of the oven as soon as they are done - before they turn brown. Let them cool on a wire rack as well."

2 cups Jiffy baking mix
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup milk
5 level tablespoons soft shortening or oil
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine all ingredients. Beat vigorously until well blended. Drop by tablespoonful onto prepared baking sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes.

Remove cookies and sprinkle lightly with sugar.
