Recipe: Sugar Cookies (almost Walmarts)

According to another recipe board these were pretty close.

COOKIE CUTTER SUGAR COOKIES
(LIKE WALMART'S ICED SUGAR COOKIES)


3/4 cup butter flavored shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Cream cheese frosting

Beat shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl until light and creamy.

Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to sugar mixture, beating well. Cover and chill for 1-2 hours or until firm.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness and cut out with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake at 400F for 6-8 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from baking sheets and cool on wire rack. Frost cooled cookies.

Yield: 1-2 dozen cookies

Notes: Use store bought cream cheese frosting.
